ROCK HILL — Mr. Jimmy Farley Baker, 77, of Rock Hill passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.
Services for Mr. Baker will be 2 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Catawba Baptist Church, 1450 S. Anderson Road, Rock Hill, SC with Dr. Ron Richardson and Rev. Scott Cannon officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
A native of Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Baker was a son of the late Farley A. Baker and Sue Lee Crenshaw Baker. He was a retired printer with Rock Hill Printing and Finishing. He was a member of Catawba Baptist Church with a strong Christian faith and a love for his church, family, and friends. He was the widower of Joyce H. Baker. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Marcelle B. Grant and his two brothers, Theron L. “Buddy” Baker and Gerald D. “Jerry” Baker, all of Rock Hill.
Mr. Baker is survived by his two daughters, Julie B. Stover and her husband, Joel of Jonesville, SC and Stephanie Baker of Rock Hill; and his granddaughter, Emma Joyce Stover.
The family would like to thank daddy’s caregivers, especially Wanda Carr and Shira Crosby and the nurses of Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House for the excellent care given to their father.
