To the editor:
August 3, 2017, I went to Walmart for groceries. I walked into the store with a walking cane. I am disabled and can’t walk without support.
I got a motorized cart and stood the cane in front of me as I sat down. Sometimes I can’t reach items on the shelf so I use my cane for support to get up and get them.
When I checked out at 5:42, the cane was not with me. I retraced my path but didn’t find him.
This is not just a cane but a family member. His name is Charlie and he has been with us for a long time. He supports me so I can walk and helps me to reach for things. I miss him and I need him. I can get another cane but it won’t be Charlie.
He is black with a brown handle and four prongs.
Please help me find Charlie.
(Note: Mrs. Huggins asks that any person who has or finds her cane to please drop it off at Lost and Found at Walmart or at The Union Times office at 201 North Herndon Street, Union.)
