I tried to get on Facebook to thank everyone that participated in the Lockhart Christmas Parade, Sunday, but everything seemed to be frozen and a little circle kept going around. So I will thank you in this letter.
The crowd seemed to enjoy the parade, and some told me so. I didn’t get to see any of it, since I was in it, and after I finished I had to get ready for the Festival of Lights. Maybe next time we can get someone to videotape it, and everyone in the parade can watch it later. We could have a video party, yay!
There’s some special men in the Lockhart Fire Department that I want to thank for all the special help with directing traffic and helping to place everyone in line for the parade. Also for fixing the lights for the street light poles, and the Christmas tree in the parking lot. And thanks to a couple of their wives for their help.
I am sorry for the disappointment of not having the angels on the fence before the parade. But we had to have the fence fixed and most of it replaced. They did it on Saturday and finished up on Sunday. So there wasn’t time to set it up.
Then Dale, who was so kind to paint and cut them out got terribly sick and had to be in bed. But if he’s better this weekend or if he puts someone else in charge of getting them up, I’m hoping it will happen this weekend. Pray for Dale’s health.
Call me if you want yours up, at 545-6652.

Remember when I told you that I slipped on dew and hit my back? Well, Monday I went to the ER and found out I fractured a disc in the vertibra. It will take from one month to three months to heal, hopefully.
I’m wearing pain patches on it. I’m still working, so it might take longer, but I’m in pain.
The doctor wanted to give me muscle relaxers and pain pills, but I told him “No Way.” Now I wonder if that was a mistake. He said I was the first one that didn’t want some. Give me patches.
They were $165. for 5. So the pharmacist suggested that first I try the same things off the shelf. The $165 ones was 5% and the cheap ones was 4%. Let’s go for 4.
I need some work done on the shed attached to my house, like two doors and a back wall.
So Chuck has had some plywood for the job for about three months and I told him if he didn’t want to fix it, just bring the wood over and Gina and I would do it. So after I broke my backbone and can’t lift anything he brought the wood over and stuck it in my shed. Gina can’t even pick the board up, and I’m not any help.
After I broke my vertibra!!!!! Do you believe that!!
I called Marvin today and he’ll look at the job and tell me if he’ll do it, or give me a name of someone else. I pay for anything that I have to have someone else do. I don’t ask for freebees. But I wait until I get upset to ask. Maybe I’m just a pain in everyones back. Ha, ha.
When a friend learned that I was seeing a man 15 years my junior, she accused me of being a cougar.
“Why not?” I said. “My last two husbands were cheetahs.”
Isn’t Love Beautiful?
An elderly woman was arrested for shoplifting a can of peaches.
When she went before the judge, he asked her, “How many peaches were in the can?” she replied, “Six.”
“In that case,” said the judge, ” I sentence you to six days in jail, one day for each peach.”
Just as the judge was about to bring down the gavel, the woman’s husband stood up, “Excuse me, Your Honor,” he said.
“Is there something you’d like to add? asked the judge.
“Yes,” said the husband. “She also stole a can of peas.”
I think my Hospice box will be picked up at the end of next week. If you want to add to it, I’m at 411 Lockhart Drive. Thanks.
Now I’ll say good night and you can call me if you want at 1-864-545-6652.
