Plants, visits, and a petition

Thanks to all of you that sent me birthday wishes. I wish I could always remember everyone’s birthday, I think I get so much going on in my mind, nothing gets sorted out.

I spent the day going to Lowry’s, Walmart in Chester, mowing grass, weed-eating, transplanting plants that the ants tried to take over. What a day of relaxation, in my dreams. I really hope the plants make it, I had to clean the roots off. Well we’ll see. The plants are the “hen and chickens,” and these kind of plants lived in the snow, and on rocks when I lived in Michigan, now I’ll see if they can survive the red ant invasion.

Busy Day

Ailene, Donnie, Beverly and I will be going to Rock Hill tomorrow, (Thursday), it’s a meeting to go over all the new bills that the government is wanting to pass and has also passed. So I’ll open up the shop around 3, so it will be a long day and a short day.

The Supervisor’

Frank Hart came by the office today to see Ailene, but since she was in Union at other meetings, he got stuck with Brenda and me. We enjoyed the visit, he’s just so friendly.

A Nice Visit

Chuck and I went to Chester Cove, Saturday, to eat and the food was great. Danny and Julie Comer came in so when we finished eating we just sat with them and had a wonderful visit. Julie is trying to take real good care of Audrey Vinson,(making her eat). Please pray for Audrey, who is taking chemo.

I have a petition at the shop, if you want to sign it, to see if it will help get Debbie Gilchrist her job back at the post office. The more names on it, the better. Many people have asked me to do this. With Debbie, we could mail and receive our packages, do money orders (and) she helped with the ones that had trouble reading and writing with their mail. She was there about 30 years.

The lady that has been there is going back to Whitmire and she will be missed, she was a sweetheart. We’ll miss Monica’s smile and friendly way, also. She just couldn’t work full time, since she home schools her children.

Good Questions

At what age do you think it’s appropriate to tell a highway it’s adopted?

If con is the opposite of pro, then isn’t Congress the opposite of progress?

How come you never see a headline like “Psychic Wins Lottery”?

Well, not much news, so I will say good night, it’s after 11 and I haven’t had a bite to eat all day, so as unhealthy as it is to eat this late I’m going to check out the fridge and stay up late, maybe. Call at 864-545-6652
