CARLISLE — It’s another four years in office for Town of Carlisle Mayor Mary Ferguson-Glenn.
When they went to the polls Tuesday, Carlisle voters chose Ferguson-Glenn, the two-term incumbent, over challenger Carlisle Town Councilwoman Ann Stevens.
Ferguson-Glenn received 110 votes or 53.92 percent to 92 votes or 45.10 percent for Stevens.
On winning a third term as mayor, Ferguson-Glenn said “I just thrilled that the citizens have given me the opportunity to continue the work we have ongoing. I look forward to the future.”
Two seats on Carlisle Town Council were also on Tuesday’s ballot and there were only two candidates — both incumbents — running for the seats and both were reelected.
Councilman Ronnie Lyles received 137 votes or 46.60 percent while Councilwoman Maxine Spencer received 114 votes or 38.78 percent.
