The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:
— Thomas Ross Tidey, 46, of 100 Orchard Lane, Union, was charged with criminal domestic violence and resisting arrest around 12:50 a.m. June 18. The report states deputies were assisting the Jonesville Police Department with a call on Whitmire Hwy. when they heard a commotion coming from a residence next door. The report states deputies then saw Tidey chase a woman across a yard and tackle her. The report states officers pulled Tidey off the woman, and he said the officers would have to kill him. The report states Tidey was handcuffed after a brief struggle but continued to resist getting into the patrol car after being asked to do so several times. The report states a deputy deployed his taser and drive-stunned Tidey. He was transported to Union County Jail.
— Virginia Patricia Ann Rice, 24, of 203 Tillman Street, Union, was charged with breach of trust around 8:05 p.m. June 17.
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrest:
— Brandi Nicole Ham, 32, of 134 North Church Street, Union, was charged with shoplifting around 10:18 p.m. June 16. According to the arrest warrant, Ham “did select a portable power bank belonging to Radio Shack and concealed it in her crotch area.” The item was valued at $59.99.
