Man charged with criminal sexual conduct

UNION — A Union man has been charged with allegedly pressuring a preteen girl into engaging in a sex act with him and then posting a video of the encounter on social media.

Dakota Allan Proctor, 18, 207 East Academy Street, Union, is charged by the Union Public Safety Department with criminal sexual conduct with a minor third-degree.

The incident report states that on May 19, the victim and her mother met with Public Safety officers and investigators. The report states the mother said her 11-year-old daughter was the victim of a sexual encounter with Proctor. It states the mother said that earlier in the day her daughter had shown her a video on Snapchat of the encounter. She said when she questioned her daughter about when this had occurred she said she believed it had been several months earlier.

The report states the daughter said the incident had occurred at Proctor’s residence and that he had pressured her to perform the sex act and had filmed it on Snapchat.

The report states the incident was then referred to investigations.

Proctor was arrested and charged on May 25. He was subsequently released on $25,000 bond.
