UNION — Eleven Sims Middle School students have been named CLAW Award Winners the month of September.
CLAW stands for Citizenship, Leadership, Attitude, and Work Ethic. CLAW Award Winners for those student who embody those qualities.
In a statement released Monday, Sims Middle School announced that the following students have been named CLAW Award Winners for September for the following reasons:
Dontee’ Wicks for his wonderful manners, for paying attention and being on task, and for always coming prepared to learn.
Jayna Rhinehart for always being willing to help others and to be a friend to them. She has a love for learning and is a joy to teach.
Kenyanna Norman for always being respectful, on task, and willing to help others. Her teachers say she is an example of an “awesome student.”
Christian Albee for his always positive attitude. He is always friendly and willing to put forth his best effort.
Zy’Bryia Hall for seeing the “big picture” of how her science and art curriculum intersect and sharing those insights with her fellow students.
Bryan Bryant for his attitude and his willingness to volunteer to help with anything his teachers need.
Bryson Perry for always being polite and respectful. He has a wonderful sense of humor and a winning personality.
Autamn Humphries for her hard work and willingness to always lend a helping hand. Her smiling face and positive attitude are infectious.
Jabori Dawkins for being a great classmate to his fellow students, for participating in class, and for being an all-around great guy.
La’Christian Salter for being a model student, a hard worker, and always giving 100% in everything she does.
Takeria Savage for always coming ready to work and willing to participate. She strives to succeed at every task, is willing to help her classmates as needed, and has a wonderful attitude.
