UNION COUNTY — The Union County Democratic Party will hold a voter registration at Dawkins Restaurant on Aug. 27.
In a statement released Monday afternoon, UCDP Party Chair Ann Stevens and Assistant Secretary Rosemary Rice announced that the party will hold a “voter registration drive with a free lunch snack to go” at Dawkins Restaurant, 411 S. Pinckney St., Union, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Stevens and Rice stated that the registration drive and free lunch snack to go are for new persons registering to vote. They stated that others attending the even may purchase the lunch snack at minimal cost.
The press release also reminds the public that Oct. 8 is the deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 8 general election.
Stevens and Rice also announced that the UCDP will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. at the City of Union Municipal Building at 101 Sharp Avenue, Union.
