Sims falls to McCracken 3-2

UNION — The Lady Tigers came up short Monday night as they lost 3-2 to McCracken. The first match Sims won 25-22; the second set was 20-25; the third set was 21-25; the fourth set 25-17; and the tie breaker was 2-15.

We played really well overall, but communication was a major factor. We had some issues with not calling, or calling and then not getting it trusting ourselves or our team mates. We have a very talented team, and are still finding the click to work together. We are 0-2 on the season, but look for the win Wednesday for a confidence builder. Too many free balls were given, and we know how to hit really well, but didn’t.

Abby Gregory served well, as well as Taylor Austin, Catherine Nave, Shontae Wicks and Sarah Blackmon.

Michaela Purdie hustled and played great defense. We will practice hard tomorrow and hope for the win. Come out and see the Lady Tigers play Wednesday (today) at home at 5 p.m. against Boiling Springs.
