Prayer for Saturday

Charles Warner | The Union Times Jesus died for our sins so that we didn’t have to. No one else could have done that and no one else ever will. More importantly, Jesus triumphed over death, hell, and the grave to live again. That’s something else no one else could have done or ever will. It is through Jesus’ death, resurrection, and subsequent ascension into Heaven — something no else could have done or ever will do — that we are saved from our sins. With all that in mind, the only way anyone of us can or should respond to what Jesus has done — and continues to as the source of all forgiveness of sins and eternal salvation — is by accepting Him as our Lord and Savior and living our lives in accordance with His will and teachings.

Read John 8:1-11

Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

— Matthew 7:1-2 (NIV)

PRAYER: Dear Father, guard our minds and our lives that we may not judge others. Help us to be a blessing to those around us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Today I will treat others the way I want to be treated. (See Luke 6:31.)
