Terry and Margie Humphries of Union are proudly celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Thursday, June 21, 2018 with a fabulous trip to Gatlinburg, TN with their family hosted by their children and grandchildren. They also celebrated a little early with a five day Carnival cruise to the Bahamas.
The couple were united in marriage June 21, 1968 at Sardis United Methodist Church, with the late Rev. Sullivan officiating.
Terry is the son of the late Wilson and Sara Humphries. He retired from the Union County Sheriff’s Department after 24 years, and now enjoys his spare time fishing, hunting and working in the yard.
Margie is the daughter of the late Lewis and Lucille O’Shields. She was an employee of the former Conso Products in Union, SC for many years. Margie is a very devoted wife, mother, “Maw Maw” and the glue that holds our family together.
Together, Terry and Margie, enjoy their time of worship with family and friends at New Life Baptist Church. Throughout their 50 years of marriage, their focus was to always put Christ first in their marriage and home.

Terry and Margie are blessed with three loving children: Wendy Shaver and husband Bryan of Union, SC; Tiffany Velie of Warner Robins, Georgia; and Benji Humphries and wife Jackie of Union, SC.
They have 6 grandchildren: Daniela Robbins (Pacolet, SC), Dillon Blackwell (Warner Robins, GA), Christopher Shaver (Clinton, SC), Brooke Blackwell (Warner Robins, GA), Christian Humphries (Union, SC), and Jasmine Humphries (Union, SC). They also have one precious great-granddaughter, Brinley Robbins (Pacolet, SC).
