UNION COUNTY — The Union County High School Yellow Jackets JV and Varsity Soccer Teams fell to Gaffney last Friday while the Varsity Team fell to Blue Ridge despite improving in the second half of the game.
Coach David McIntire said that the Varsity Team lost to the Indians 8-1 while the JV Team lost 4-0. Both games were played in Gaffney Friday evening.
The Varsity Team took to the field on Monday for a home game against Blue Ridge. The Yellow Jackets came up short, however, losing 5-2, but McIntire said that team improved on its performance in the second half.
On Thursday, the Yellow Jackets will play Greer in away games at 5:30 p.m. (JV) and 7 p.m. (Varsity).
The Yellow Jackets will be at home on Friday against Chester at 5:30 p.m. (JV) and 7 p.m. (Varsity). These will be makeup games from March 6.
