Bantams defeat Crusaders 8-4

UNION — In its first home game of the season the USC Union Bantams Baseball team defeated the Christendom College Crusaders 8-4 Friday afternoon.

The game, which began at 1 p.m., was one of two games between the Bantams and the Crusaders who hail from Front Royal, Virginia. The second game, which was scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. Friday, was still under way at press time. The results of that game will be in Wednesday’s edition of The Union Times and on our website (www.uniondailytimes.com) and our Facebook page.

Today (Saturday) the Bantams will be in Sumter for two games against the USC Sumter Fire Ants. The games will be played at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. The Bantams will play a third game, also in Sumter, against the Fire Ants on Sunday at 12 p.m.

The are the first Region 10 games of the season.
