UNION — The holiday season in Union got its traditional kick off Thursday evening with “Walk Into The Holidays.”
As in previous years, the annual event featured Main Street businesses and other institutions staying open into the evening offering entertainment and shopping bargains for those in attendance.
The businesses — all of which offered reduced prices and other specials — participating in the event were:
• Elle Bell Cafe
• Keepsake Jewelers
• Smith’s Jewelry Store
• Something Special
• TC’s Jewelers
• USC Union Bookstore
Also taking part was the Union County Museum and the Union County Arts Gallery Art Gallery which gave those attending the opportunity to, respectively, view artifacts from local history and works by local artists.
A major feature of the evening were the Christmas decorations in the storefronts on the street, a sure sign that the most wonderful time of the year is drawing closer.
