JONESVILLE —Thursday, Oct. 26 will be “A Night To Remember” for Jonesville Elementary/Middle School and the public is invited to come out and share in the fun.
In a statement released Wednesday, Jonesville Elementary/Middle School Principal Kathy Taylor invited the public to “please join us Thursday, October 26, on the old Jonesville High School football field to celebrate Homecoming for Jonesville Elementary/Middle School.”
Taylor said the Homecoming celebration, which she said will be “A Night To Remember,” will get under way at 4:30 p.m. “with special recognitions” and then, at 5 p.m., the JEMS Wildcats Football Team will take to the field for the evening’s game against Pacolet.
“It will be a special evening as we recognize our 2017-2018 eighth grade football players, cheerleaders, and crown our new Homecoming Queen!” Taylor said. “The festivities will also include a performance from our ‘Cheering with the Wildcats’ cheerleaders.”
In addition, Taylor said that “our own Coach John ‘Head’ Henderson will be recognized for his years of dedication to Jonesville Athletics as he will be retiring at the end of this school year.”
The game will be played in memory of Mrs. Sherry Gregory who Taylor said “was our number one Jonesville Wildcat fan. We know that she will be with us in spirit. Go Wildcats! Forever blue!”
Seating for the event will be limited so Taylor said those attending should “bring a bag chair.”
