UNION — The Union County Fair will open its gates on Tuesday, Oct. 17, starting at 5 p.m. with “2 for $22,” where fairgoers will be able to buy two ride bands for $22.
Wednesday, Oct. 18, will be “Church Night” with $4 ride bands from 5-8 p.m. The night will feature music from Adam Crabb, Terah Crabb-Penhollow, The Bowling Family, and local performers.
Thursday, Oct. 19, is “Jacket Night” which means free admission for Union County students and $4 off ride bands from 5-8 p.m.
Friday will be filled with even more music. From 3-6 p.m., Music by Todd will be performing; Norman Johnson, also known as South Carolina’s Lionel Richie, performs will take the stage from 6:30-7:30 p.m., and Travis Smith will end the performances from 8-10 p.m.
Saturday will be the night someone wins big. Beginning at 3 p.m., contestants in the Miss Union County Fair pageant will compete for the crown. Then, at 8:30 p.m., a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu LT, donated by WT’s of Johnsville, will be drawn from gate admission. The winner must be present to win. Ride bands will be $2 off on Saturday starting at noon until 5 p.m.
The Union County Fair will be open Tuesday-Thursday from 5-11 p.m., Friday from 3 p.m.-midnight, and Saturday from noon to midnight. Regular gate admission is $7 and ride bands are $20.
Livestock shows will include beef on Oct. 17, rabbit and pullet on Oct. 18, dairy on Oct. 19, and goat on Oct. 20.
Daily entertainment will include the Flores Thrill Show, America’s Got Talent, Banana Derby and more!
