UNION COUNTY — There’s a lot happening in sports in Union County this month and during much of the rest of the 2017-18 school year with local schools fielding football, volleyball, and softball teams.
Football
The Jonesville Middle School Football Team hosts Blacksburg Thursday, Sept.21. The game begins at 5 p.m. The team’s schedule also includes the following games on the following dates:
• Thursday, Sept. 28 at Campobello
• Thursday, Oct. 12 at EP Todd
• Thursday, Oct. 19 at Landrum
• Thursday, Oct. 26 at Pacolet
All games are scheduled to be played at 5 p.m.
Jonesville Volleyball
Not only it is football season it also volleyball season and the Jonesville Middle School Girls Volleyball Team has a busy schedule ahead of them with games on the following dates against the following teams:
• Monday, Sept. 18 hosting Pacolet
• Wednesday, Sept. 20 at Lockhart
• Thursday, Sept. 21 hosting Campobello
• Monday, Sept. 25 hosting High Point

All games start at 4:30 p.m.The Top 4 teams of each conference will make the playoff; cross bracket for tournament. Semi-finals will be played Saturday, Oct 14 at Cowpens; have to be concluded by Tuesday, Oct 17.
Sims Volleyball
The Sims Middle School Girls Volleyball Team is also busy this season with games scheduled on the following dates against the following teams:

• Monday, Sept. 25 at Carver
• Wednesday, Sept. 27 hosting Gable
• Monday, Oct. 2 hosting Rainbow Lake

• Monday, Oct. 9 hosting Fairforest
• Wednesday, Oct. 11 hosting Dawkins
All the above games are played at 4:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Oct. 14, the team will play in the Peachtree Conference Tournament. The location and time of the game has yet to be announced.
Bantams 2017 Fall Schedule
