UNION COUNTY — The Union County Minor League All Star Team had an impressive season this year that only came to an end after two wins at the State Championship this week.
The All Stars won the District 2 Championship on June 29 going undefeated throughout the entire district tournament outscoring their opponents 49-2.
Their winning the District 2 Championship won the team the opportunity to represent their district in the State Championship which began July 14 in Hartsville. In the days that followed the team scored two victories, but were eliminated from competition on July 18.
The Union County Minor League All Star Team was undefeated in season competition this year and went on to win the District 2 Championship. They subsequently competed for the State Championship in Hartsville winning two games in the tournament before being eliminated on Tuesday. The members of the team are (front row) Jamison Parks, Mason Cromer, Cade Coker, Christian Hughey, Landon Sumner, Davis Rochester, (middle row) Andrew Latham, Mason Small, Josh Brandon, Tanner Hardin, Garrison Hooper, Nate Smith, (back row) Rockey Lancaster, TJ Glenn, Brian Hardin, Cyle Coker, Charles Johnson, and Michael Todd Harris.
