The Christian God is an awesome God for a number of reasons. The first reason is that, unlike all the other deities worshiped by the human race, He is real. The second reason is that He and He alone created the universe and all the things within it, including the human race, the only part of creation which He made in His image. The third reason is that He loved the human race so much that He gave His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to us to become a living sacrifice for our sins and provide us with the sole path to eternal salvation. The fourth reason is that, through the teachings of those He first spoke through, the patriarchs and prophets of the Old Testament and, in the New Testament, through the earthly ministry of His Son and the subsequent ministries of the disciples and apostles who followed Him and, since then, the ministers, missionaries and other Christian witnesses who have continued to preach the Good News of salvation, He continues to change lives. The fifth reason is that He has sent His Holy Spirit to reinforce the guidance of His Holy Word and comfort and encourage his children. The sixth reason is that He is there for His children, even in the face of death, ensuring that they will spend eternity with Him in Heaven and share in His eternal triumph when He finally defeats and destroys the forces of evil here on Earth. An awesome God, indeed.
