UNION — Mrs. Evelyn Boulware Tucker, 92, widow of James W. Tucker, formerly of Brittany Manor, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

Mrs. Tucker was born in Fairfield Co., Aug. 20, 1920, a daughter of the late Eugene and Minnie Dickerson Boulware. Mrs. Tucker was a graduate of West Springs High School and had retired from Springs Industries in Chester.

Surviving are a daughter, Ruby Lunsford and husband Fred of Fountain Inn; two sons, Roy Tucker of Columbia and Eugene Tucker and wife Hannelore of Chester; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Tucker was predeceased by four brothers, Gene Boulware of Chester, Lewis Boulware, Luther Boulware and Fletcher Boulware of Union.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Donald Tillman. Burial will be in Putman Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family will be at their respective home.
