UNION — Mrs. Brenda Lee Dover Duncan, 69, wife of John Edward Duncan Sr., formerly of Buffalo, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at her home, 119 Keith Lane, Union, after an extended illness.

Mrs. Duncan was born in Union, Sept. 30, 1943, a daughter of the late Leroy and Irene Gault Dover. She was retired from United Merchants, Buffalo Plant and attended New Hope Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Joni D. Wilson and husband Joey of Clinton and Lisa D. Davis and husband Charlie of Cross Hill; a son, John E. Duncan III and wife Suzanne of Jonesville; two stepsons, John E. Duncan Jr. and wife Katie and Joey Duncan and wife Debbie, all of Lake Greenwood; a sister, Ann Peigler and husband Kenneth; a brother, Gene W. Dover; special friends, Teal and Graham Gault and a special nephew, Kenny Peigler, all of Union; 11 grandchildren, Jayci Wright, J.T. Wright, Whitney Duncan, Amanda Davis, Brook Davis, Shannon Davis, Michael Duncan, Logan Duncan, Terry Smith, Jamie Duncan and Drew Duncan; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Duncan was predeceased by two brothers, Kenny Dover and James “Bud” Dover.

Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 at Lower Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Robert Branch.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the services and also at the home of her sister, Ann and Kenneth Peigler, 114 Cedar St., Union.
