UNION — Mr. Jerry Dean Reid, 64, died Sept. 7, 2012 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home after years of declining health.

Born Sept. 6, 1948, a son of the late George Washington and Cassie Ochiltree Reid. Mr. Reid had retired from the United States Military after 27 years of service in both the Air Force and Army.

Survivors include one daughter Marie Rhinehart (Eric Fleming) of Union; two brothers Jack Douglas Reid of Inman, Tony Reid (Marie) of Duncan; a stepson, Reuben Greene Jr. (Donna) of Honea Path; two grandchildren, Matthew and Myranda Rhinehart; and a special niece Jessica Reid of Duncan.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of his daughter 203 Church Hill St. Union SC 29379.
