UNION — Mrs. Pearl Mitchel Lawson, 98, wife of the late Foster Lawson went to be with the Lord, Friday, July 27, 2012 at Oakmont Nursing Home.

Mrs. Lawson was born in Union County, Sept. 8, 1913, a daughter of the late William K. Mitchel and Beulah Nance Mitchel. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and previously employed with United Merchants-Buffalo Plant.

Survivors are a son, Emerson F. Lawson and wife Myrtle of Charlotte, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Renae Lawson Lynch of Ft. Mill, Michael Lawson of Putman, Tracy Lawson Easter and husband Ted, Jr., of Boiling Springs, North Carolina, Beth Lawson Revis and husband Gene of Putman; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lawson was predeceased by a son, Bruce H. Lawson.

Graveside services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Ted Easter, Jr.

Visitation will be at from 2:30-3:45 p.m. at Holcombe Funeral Home Sunday prior to the graveside service.
