ALCOLU — Helen Robbie Stribling McInnis, 72, wife of Daniel A. “Dan” McInnis, died Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Tuomey Hospital.
Born Oct. 26, 1939, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert Frank Stribling and the late Matrel Louise O’Shields Stribling. She was a retired school teacher and a member and organist of Clarendon Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband of Alcolu are two sons, Stacey McInnis (Nancy) of Manning and Neil McInnis (Sherri) of Summerton; a sister, Connie Kuykendall (Terry) of Columbus, NC; four grandchildren, Peyton, Elizabeth, Reese and Campbell McInnis.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Clarendon Baptist Church in Alcolu with Reverend Kirk Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Evans, John Thompson, William Locklear, Russell Harrelson, Toey Lee and Woody Nesbitt. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Clarendon Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service in the church fellowship hall.
