CARLISLE — James Earl “Clay” Jeter, 56, 532 Pinckney St., died May 5, 2012.
A native of Union, he was the son of Curenthia Jeter of Whitmire, and the late Mary Louise Jeter Edwards.
Survivors include two sisters, Chasity Jeter and Devin Jeter, both of Whitmire; and his companion, Effie L. Gibson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday May 10, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at The Michael A. Glenn Funeral Home, 361 Meansville Road, Union. Burial will follow in the Jeter Chapel AME Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of Constance Gibson, 540 Pinckney St., Carlisle, SC.
