The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:
— Kenneth Tracy Sherbert, 49, of 149 Sherbert St., Spartanburg, was charged with three counts of shoplifting around 12:30 p.m. on March 14. According to arrest warrants, Sherbert stole two 32-inch Samsung televisions, an HP desktop computer, and attempted to steal a Dyson ball vacuum cleaner from Walmart, located at 513 North Duncan Bypass, Union. The vaccuum cleaner and computer were valued at $1,036. The televisions were taken during a previous incident.
— Ashley Danielle Winzenried, 26, of 121 Barnado Road, Union, was charged with driving under suspension and failure to dim lights around 10 p.m. on March 14.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
— A resident of Rainbow Lane, Jonesville, reported on March 14 that while he was away — between the hours of 3 p.m. and 11 a.m., someone broke into his home. Items missing included a 7mm Remington 700 Magnum rifle valued at $1,100; a Remington 1100 20-gauge shotgun valued at $600; a Rossi 38 Special revolver valued at $400; prescription medication; and $380 cash. The case was given to an investigator for further investigation.
— A resident of Sartor Road, Whitmire, reported on March 14 that his vehicle was vandalized between the hours of 9 p.m. and 12 p.m. The complainant stated the vehicle was scratched all over and profanity was keyed into the hood. He estimated the damage at $2,000. A report was given to an investigator for further.
— A resident of Neal Shoals Road, Union, reported on March 14 that someone had taken items from her yard between January 12-March 14. Items missing include four air compressors, two generators and eight weed eaters, which were valued by the complainant at $2,200.
