UNION — Mrs. Allie Davis Knox, 88, widow of Clifford E. Knox, formerly of 240 Bombing Range Road, Union, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

Mrs. Knox was born in Hillsborough, N.C., March 1, 1925, a daughter of the late William Franklin Davis and Luna Perry Davis. She was retired from Milliken and Co., Midway Plant and was a member of Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU.

Surviving are two daughters, Judy Hogan of Union and Barbara Nordan of Hillsborough, N.C.; four sons, Charles Nordan and wife Nancy Rosebaugh of Hillsborough, N.C., Jim Nordan and wife Pat of Johnson City, TN, Larry Knox of Clanton, AL and John Knox and wife Mary of Union; two sisters, Lillian Carroll of Hillsborough, N.C. and Lilly Mae Johnson of Martinsville, VA; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Carrol Caldwell. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Tim Knox, John Wyatt, Mike Hogan, Jason Guerrieri, Jason Knox and Tanner Wyatt.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
