W-H-Y ??

Remember when you were a small child and you asked, “Why?” and your momma would just say, “Because?” Well, I still have questions that many deserve to be rectified, unfortunately should the government hear about it they will raise taxes!! … WHY?

Why do supermarkets make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front?

Why do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke?

Why do banks leave vault doors open and then chain the pens to the counters?

Why do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in our driveways and put our useless junk in the garage?

Ever Wonder…

Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?

Why can’t women put on mascara with their mouth closed?

Why don’t you ever see the headline “Psychic Wins Lottery?”

Why is “abbreviated” such a long word?

Why is it that doctors and attorneys call what they do “practice?”

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavoring, and dish washing liquid made with real lemons?

Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?

Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?

Why isn’t there mouse-flavored cat food?

Why didn’t Noah swat those two mosquitoes?

Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?

You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don’t they make the whole plane out of that stuff??

Why don’t sheep shrink when it rains?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?

Now that you’ve smiled at least once, it’s your turn to spread the stupidity and share this to someone you want to bring a smile to (maybe even a chuckle)… in other words, send it to everyone. We all need to smile every once in a while.

Oh you didn’t smile — well how about this one: “If God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the world … why did He then make the world round and laughed and laughed about it?”

Have a happy and enjoyable week!

The Problem With Dentures

A pastor goes to the dentist for a set of false teeth. The first Sunday after he gets his new teeth, he talks for eight minutes. The second Sunday, he talks for only 10 minutes. The following Sunday, he talks for 2 hours and 48 minutes. The congregation had to mob him to get him down from the pulpit and they asked him what happened.

The pastor explained the first Sunday his gums hurt so bad he could not talk for more than eight minutes. The second Sunday his gums hurt too much to talk for more than 10 minutes. But, the third Sunday, he put his wife’s teeth in by mistake and he could not shut up …

Birthdays

The following are celebrating their birthday this week: Brandi Ketterman, Sally Edens, and Randy Woods on Saturday, Feb. 23; Anna Johnson, Lindsay Bailey, and Grace Kelley on Sunday, Feb. 24; Vance Edens and Summer Davis on Monday, Feb. 25; Sam Murphy and Mary Beth Lancaster on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

What a wonderful group! Happy Birthday, Y’all!

Food For Thought: The Dangers Of The Last Days

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (New Living Translation NLT): You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! H-m-m-m-m Food for Thought.

The Greatest

The story goes that a cow, an ant and an old timer are debating on who is the greatest of the three of them.

The cow said, “I give 20 quarts of milk every day and that’s why I am the greatest!”

The ant said, “I work day and night, summer and winter, I can carry 52 times my own weight and that’s why I am the greatest!”

Why are you reading on? It’s your turn to say something.
