The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:
— Jatania Lenore Cabaniss, 32, of 112 Canal Rd., Lockhart, and Gerald Lee Lanier, 54, of 211 N. 1st St., Lockhart, were charged with disorderly conduct. According to the incident report, a deputy noticed that both parties had passed out in the court room, and when court was over, they passed out again in the Magistrate’s Office. Both failed field sobriety tests and were placed under arrest for public intoxication.
— Damion Lee Farr, 26, of 125 Chambers Ave., Union, was charged with possession of marijuana. According to the incident report, while narcotics officers were serving a search warrant on Woodlawn Ave., Farr admitted that he had a bag of marijuana in his sock. Farr handed over the bag and was transported to jail.
— Tom Jefferson Welch, 25, of 1405 Peach Orchard Rd., Union, was charged with breach of peace. According to the incident report, Welch yelled threats and profane language at a woman who was inside a nearby residence.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
— A resident of Christopher Lane, Union, reported on Dec. 13 that someone broke into his home and stole a 32” television and two bottles of change, with property and damage coming to a total value of around $750.
— A resident of Deer Trail Rd., Jonesville, reported on Dec. 13 that a Weed Eater riding lawn mower was stolen from their home. The mower was valued at $200.
— A resident of Neal Shoals Rd., Union, reported on Dec. 12 that someone attempted to break into her home. According to the incident report, the resident heard someone attempting to enter her bathroom window, and she ran next door, calling 9-1-1.
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrest:
— Bryse Michael Rankin, 24, of 211 Pine St., Union, was charged with possession of a controlled substance. According to the arrest warrant, Rankin possessed six Xanax pills — a Schedule IV narcotic — while at Food Lion.
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following incident:
— A resident of Barnadoe Rd., Union, reported on Dec. 13 that her purse was taken from the back seat of her car while she took groceries into her home. She stated the purse contained a credit card, check book, debit card, cash and Wells Fargo Christmas cards, all of which was valued at around $200.
