CARLISLE – Municipal elections for the Town of Carlisle were on Tuesday’s ballot, and Mayor Mary Ferguson-Glenn ran unopposed.
Mayor Mary Ferguson-Glenn will serve a second term in office, and she received a total of 165 votes.
Two of the four seats on the Carlisle Town Council were vacant before Tuesday’s election, with only one candidate — Ronnie “Motorcar” Lyles — running for election. Lyles received a total of 206 votes and will serve his fourth term on council.
The other council seat was formerly held by council member Maxine Spencer, who declined to seek a third term. Since no one filed to run for this seat, it will be decided by write-in votes.
