Union County’s Phillip King concentrates on the course in the Coaches Classic Meet held Saturday in Columbia. King finished the 5K run with a time of 24:43 and the Yellow Jackets finished 34 out 44 teams.
Union County’s girls and boys cross country teams competed in the Coaches Classic Meet in Columbia Saturday.
The Yellow Jackets Amanda Sinclair finished with a time of 21:05, Hydia Green 21:59, Christa Green 22:31 and Haley Stein 25:03.
Jesse Luttner led the way for the Jackets’ boys team with a time of 18:13. Ethan Turner finished with a time of 19:48, Jonathan Lawson 20:13, Cash Armstrong 22:56, Dayne Jackson 22:58, Zach Jeter 24:43 and Phillip King 24:59.
The boys finished 34 out of 44 teams and the girls did not have a team score because a team must have five runners to compete. Several Jacket girls were out due to injuries and ACT testing.
