Two months after he and another man were both hospitalized with stab wounds, a Union man is being charged in the incident

Jarvis Akeem Davis, 20, 156 Joe Webber Road, Union, is charged by the Union County Sheriff’s Office with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

Davis is charged in connection with a June 8 incident in which he and another man got into a fight that ended with both suffering stab wounds. The narrative states deputies were dispatched to 456 Joe Walker Road and spoke with Davis who claimed he was stabbed by a man who was across the street. The report states deputies noticed a deep stab wound to the lower right side area of Davis’ back. EMS was preparing to transport Davis when another deputy notified the responding deputies the other man had also been stabbed.

The deputies went to the other location and noticed the other man had a stab wound to his lower left side. He told deputies he was sitting in the kitchen talking to Davis about getting his life right. The man said Davis was pacing the floor the whole time he was talking to him. He then felt something stick him in the left side.

Both men began to fight and the victim picked up a knife and stabbed Davis in the back. The victim said he then ran to a neighbor’s house.

Davis, who was arrested Thursday, was flown by Regional One to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for treatment. The victim was taken by family members to Wallace Thomson Hospital.

The operative used $800 in recorded government funds to make the purchase near the intersection of Meansville Road and Oakland Road.

After the transaction, the report states Thompson and Smith sped away down Meansville Road toward Union in a 2000 Chevy Impala. Deputies were able to stop the vehicle and arrest both men. The government funds were recovered from the console of the vehicle and $7 was seized from Thompson and $61 from Smith.

The report states because the amount of crack cocaine was more than 10 grams but less than 28 grams, Thompson and Smith were charged with trafficking cracck cocaine. Thompson was also charged with failure to stop for a blue light.
