UNION, SC — Neville Thompson, 51, 147 Peacewood Dr., Union, died Friday evening at his home surrounded by his family, August 6, 2010.

Neville was born March 29, 1959, a son of the late Wilbur and Rosa Pendergrass Thompson, and attended the public schools in Union County. He also worked at NOree Mills as a slasher until his health began to fail.

He leaves to cherish loving memorie his financee Elizabeth “Tina” Stevenson of Union; one son, Chane Hardy of Spartanburg; two daughters, Shonda L. Broadus of Columbia and Kienija Stevenson of Laurens; four brothers, Wilbur (Hattie Mae) Thompson, Jr., James Arthur Thompson, Leroy (Geraldine) Thompson, Sr., and Odell Thompson, all of Union; five sisters, Virginia (Curtis) Rice, Dorothy Wallace (Alex Gossett), Delorise (Lawrence) Booker, Mae Francis Salter, and Debra Jean (Chris) Johnson, all of Union; six grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by one, Neville Thompson, Jr.; one brother, Ralph Thompson; and one sister, Betty Jean Thompson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Bethel A.M.E. Church at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Bruce Jackson. The body will be placed in the church 1 p.m. to await the hour of service. Burial will follow in Maple Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the home. Viewing will be Tuesday 10 a.m.- 7 p.m.

The family is at the home of his sister and brother-in-law Delorise (Lawrence) Booker, 147 Peacewood Driver, Union.
