An accurate and up-to-date depiction of Union County is now available to its residents and visitors.

Union County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with The Union Daily Times in publishing a new all-inclusive, full color map of the City of Union, Union County and its municipalities.

“We partnered with Union Daily Times — a local business and Chamber member — because we knew we would get a good product in terms of accuracy and presentation.” said chamber Executive Director Torance Inman.

The chamber produces a new map every 3–4 years and the latest version includes new road changes as well as depictions of new landmarks like Union County Dragway and the Timken Sports Complex.

“A lot of people use Garmins to find their way around but a Garmin doesn’t give you a picture of the entire county,” Inman said.

According to Inman, there have been “rogue advertisers” who have come into Union in the past and produced similar products of lesser quality and they often use the chamber of commerce name without an official endorsement.

“I’m not trying to discredit these other organizations but advertisers do not get the full benefits of a quality product,” Inman said.

He stated the new map most definitely has the seal of approval from the Chamber.
