The incident report states an officer was dispatched just before 1 a.m. Thursday to a residence at 1207 West Main St., Lot 1, Union in response to a report of a break-in in progress. The officer was met by the owner who said he saw two people run from the back of his residence and get in a black vehicle parked in the roadway just a few feet away from the building. He said the two broke into his home and threatened his girlfriend with a weapon.
The officer interviewed the woman who said she had just come out of the bathroom and was getting ready for bed when she heard a loud noise coming from the living room area. She said two black males dressed in black and wearing black masks rushed into her bedroom screaming at her and wanting her money. The woman said one of the men told the other to watch the door. She said one of the men pointed a gun at her face telling her to find the money while going through her dresser drawers. The victim said one them threatened to shoot her. They then ran out the back door.
The report states that shortly after the incident an officer found a black car matching the description given by the man who had reported the home invasion. The hood of the vehicle was still hot but there was no one there.
A total of $700 was stolen according to the report.
