Sims’ football gearing up
About 55 athletes signed up to participate in the Sims’ weight-lifting program in preparation for football. Workouts were held Tuesdays and Thursdays after school at Union County High School.
“I felt the kids really took advantage of the weight-lifting program and it helped give our eighth graders a step ahead for ninth-grade football,” McDaniel said. “The kids really enjoyed taking part in the program and loved being a part of something at the high school.”
