Local drag racers Neil McKeown, left, and Charlie Walker finished first and second in the Street Legal division at Union County Dragway on Saturday night.
McKeown, who is the 2009 champion, defeated Walker in his first drag race.
“I only went to race because my son had other plans for the day,” said Walker, whose son normally races the car.
“It was really fun to find myself in the final against last year’s champ,” Walker said. “I had a great time racing at Union County Dragway, but I am looking forward to getting back to racing late models and still getting to drag race until my new dirt late model is finished.
