JONESVILLE — The Potters House in Jonesville will hold a food distribution event Saturday, May 1, for those in need of food assistance.

Pastor Don Moore reported earlier this month food is once again in short supply at the church’s food bank and demand is ever increasing. Moore said the church is closing in on 1,100 families — representing 3,000 people — registered to receive food through the food bank and he expects more. Anyone who has not registered already and is in need of assistance can register the morning of Saturday’s distribution.

Anyone interested in volunteering with the distribution event should report to the church Saturday morning.

Those needing more information or interested in donating food or making a cash donation to the food bank are encouraged to contact Moore at (864) 680-3465.
