He said he asked for some scissors which she gave him and he used them to cut some string and then started mowing the lawn. Savage said he didn’t know the victim had called the police.

The officer then spoke to the victim who said Savage had come over cursing and knocking on the door asking for a pair of scissors to cut some weedeater string. She said she feared for her life and that finally Savage threw down the knife and fork and went outside. It was then she called the police.
