Jackets capture win over Broome at River Chase

Union County was one stroke away from having a medalist in a home golf match at River Chase Golf Club on Wednesday.

The Yellow Jackets took the team win over Broome with a total score of 168-173, but Jordan Crumpton missed the medal with a 39. Cody Frye of Broome snagged the honors coming in with a 38 on the par 36 course.

Individually, Union County performed well.

The pack was led by Crumpton with his three over par followed by Hunter Parks with a 40, Nick Coffer with a 43, Bill Weibley with a 46, Brandon Turner with a 47 and Nick Monroe coming in with a 52.

The Yellow Jackets next match is set for Monday at River Chase. Union County hosts Riverside and Chapman.
