American Legion to honor vets

Six veterans will be honored Monday for their combined 350 years of continuous membership in the American Legion.

Paul Davis, commander of the Gen. Harry M. Arthur American Legion Post 22, announced the six members will be honored in an award’s ceremony at the start of the post’s 7 p.m. meeting. Davis said the six will each be presented with a “Certificate of Continuous Membership” in honor of their decades of membership in the Legion.

The veterans to be honored and their years of membership are:

• Dr T.C Wylie Jr. — 60 years

• Jack C. O'Dell — 60 years

• Paul Greer — 60 Years

• Weldon L. Eaves — 60 Years

• Samuel Bobo — 60 years

• Donald L Bobo  — 50 years

The ceremony will be preceded by a dinner at 6 p.m. with Union Mayor Harold Thompson as guest speaker.
