Mrs. Gossett was born in Union, April 17, 1926, a daughter of the late Noah and Lula Mae Mitchell Turner. She attended Kelly-Pinckney High School was retired from United Merchants, Buffalo Plant. Mrs. Gossett was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class
Surviving are a daughter, Ann Gossett of the home; a sister, Sybil Bobo of Union; four sisters-in-law, Betty Turner of Union, Anna Mae O’Shields of Buffalo, Pauline Turner and Ruth Gossett, both of Jonesville; and a host of loving children whom she considered her own.
Mrs. Gossett was predeceased by five brothers, George, J.D., Clarence, Dean and Reford Turner and two sisters, O’Dell Eaves and Millie Carter.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at New Hope United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Jim Ivey and Rev. Will Brown. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Donald Gossett, Gary Williams, George Faucett, Billy Gossett, Jimmy Gossett and Mark Blackwell.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
