UC tennis posts win over York

Union County’s tennis team defeated York 6-1 on Monday.

In singles play, David Hope beat Suggs 6-1, 6-3; Brett Ayers beat Fisk 6-2, 6-4; Jacob Robbins beat Spears 6-0, 6-2; Joseph Sawyer beat Patrick 6-1, 6-0; Matt Haney beat Stowe 6-1, 6-3.

In doubles play, Suggs and Fisk defeated Hope and Robbins 8-4; Andrew Adamo and Hunter Davis beat Womble and Newberry 6-2, 6-2.

In junior varsity play, Sam beat Jacob Gault 8-4.
