UC Tennis finishes York 5-1

Union County’s boys tennis team upped their season record to 3-1 Wednesday following a 5-1 victory over York.

During singles action, David Hope beat Suggs 6-1, 6-3. Brett Ayers lost 6-3, 6-3 to Fisk. Jacob Robbins beat Spears 6-2, 6-3. Joseph Sawyer defeated Patrick 6-1, 6-1. Andrew Adamo beat Stowe 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles play, Matt Haney and Hunter Davis beat Womble and Newberry 6-2, 6-2.

In JV action, Jacob Gault got the 8-4 win over Roddick.
