The Wildcats jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, only to see it erased in the bottom of the second inning when they fell behind 2-1.
Jonesville rallied to put one on the board in the third inning, three in the fourth inning and two in the fifth inning to take a 7-2 lead. Landrum added a run of their own in the bottom of the fifth inning to make it 7-3.
Jonesville added six more runs in the top of the seventh inning to seal the victory.
"I like this team. This team is hard-nosed and they do not quit. We play as a team with no superstars,” Jonesville coach Michael Mullinax said. “What is impressive is we have kids that step in and play when someone is out and there is no drop off. I thought we played very well tonight. It is a good day to be a Wildcat."
The Wildcats take the field next 5 p.m. Thursday when they host Campobello.
