Jerking someone’s car keys out of their hand and tossing them over a fence is a good way to end up behind bars.
Timothy Wayne Black, 44, 127 Bentleytown Road, Union, is charged by the Union Public Safety Department with criminal domestic violence.
Public safety officers were dispatched to a medical office at 429 East Main St. Thursday morning in response to a report of a domestic situation. The victim told the officers she had been in the office with her daughter when Black kept calling her and she did not answer. She said he also called the office to see if she was there. When she and her daughter left, the victim said Black was there and had blocked her car with his truck and told her he was not moving until she talked to him.
The incident report states the victim said she got into Black’s truck but when she tried to get out he grabbed her arm, jerked her car keys out of her hand and tossed them over the fence. The victim and her daughter went to look for the keys and Black came over to where they were cursing and getting real close to them. She said she then kicked Black.
The report states Black wanted officers to arrest the victim for kicking him and it notes he did have red marks on his left leg. Officers instead placed him under arrest for criminal domestic violence and took him to jail. The report states no charges will be filed against the victim.
