UNION, SC — Willie Paul McKanic 51, 246 McKanic Road, Union, SC died Friday evening March 5 2010 at his home after a lingering illness. He was a son of Mrs. Annie Laura Danzsler McKanic and the late Elson McKanic, Sr.

Willie Paul was a graduate of Union High School class of 1972, and was employed with the Union County Counsel on Aging Department for many years.

Survivors in addition to his mother are three daughters, Wanda Kay Jeter, Andrea Loffette Jeter, Angela Paulette Jeter, all of Union, three brothers, Elson McKanic Jr. of Greenville, Bobby Dean McKanic of New York, Dennis Lee McKanic of Jonesville; three sisters, Annette McKanic of Union Valerie McKanic of Union, Charlene Melissa McKanic of Spartanburg; and four grandchildren and a host of aunts uncles and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnny Johnson and Minister Leroy Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery.

The family is at the home, 246 McKanic Rd. Union SC 29379.
