A candidate for State Treasurer will address the Union County Republican Party on Thursday.

GOP Chairman Mike Fowler announced Tuesday that Curtis Loftis, a candidate for the Repulblican nomination for State Treasurer, will be the featured speaker when the party meets at 7 p.m. in the Career Source Center, 103 West Main St., Union. The public is invited to attend the meeting and hear Loftis and other candidates speak and ask them questions afterwards.

This will be the latest in a series of candidate forums the GOP has hosted. Fowler said the forums are designed to allow the people of Union County to speak directly with those who want to represent them at all levels of government.

Persons with questions about the forum of the Union County GOP may contact Fowler at (864) 251-0604 or unioncountygop@charter.net.
