Union County’s girls soccer team went 1-2 this past weekend during the Chester Pre-Season Soccer Tournament.

The Lady Jackets were handed a 2-0 loss by Lancaster on Friday. Lancaster went on to win the tournament.

On Saturday, Union County regrouped and beat Chester 3-1. Clair Dobson scored two goals for the Lady Jackets and Neeley Owens scored the other goal.

During the second game Saturday, Union County lost 5-0 to York.

“We got tired,” coach Stewart Wagner said. “I think we played better in our loss to Lancaster than we did in our first scrimmage. We are going to be ready for our first regular-season game against Broome on March 9.”
